County Meet & Merchandise
Waverunners,
As we approach the end of the season (two swim meets left!), we need to start planning for our county meet entries! Just as a reminder, the top 50 of each individual event of the whole league get to go to the county meet, and each team gets to take their best freestyle and medley relays for each gender & age group. As individual swimmers only get three events, there are inevitably swimmers from the top 100 that get to go to certain events depending of their RSVPs. In the same breath, teams have to fill relays. That is why we are asking all of our swimmers and families to RSVP for the county meet, July 8-10, so we can start planning accordingly for our relays and county practices. Once we get the final Top 50 list after the last swim meet we will verify with RSVP and swimmers to see who will go for individuals and relays.
Here is the schedule for the county meet for your planning purposes:
Friday July 8th, 2022
Session 1 ( Age 15 -18)
- Warmups; 4pm
- Start time : 5:30pm session concluded at approx. 8:20PM
Saturday July 9th, 2022
Session 2 ( Age 9 & 10)
- Warmups at 8 AM
- Start Time; 9:20AM session concludes at approx. 12:30PM
Session 3 (SINGLE Session - Ages 13-14)
- Warm up at 1:30PM
- Starting Time: 3:15PM session concludes at approx. 6:15PM
Sunday July 10th, 2022
Session 4 (Ages 8 & Under)
- Warm up at 7:30AM
- Start Time: 9:15AM session concludes at approx. 12:30pm
Session 5 ( Ages 11-12)
- Warm up: 1:15 PM
Start Time: 3:15pm session concludes at approx. 6:30PM
For this reason, the GCSL has opened up their preorders for county meet merchandise. You may have seen that a lot of our swimmers have their gear and wear it often. It is a great souvenir and momento for a great accomplishment for our swimmers! Preorders are due by noon on 06/28 and supplies are usually limited in person at the meet.
