Meet #6 Info - Senior Night!

Waverunners,

Please find this week's heat sheet attached. Please read the reminders and norms for our home meets below, we are celebrating our seniors & have an updated bullpen policy.

Senior Night Festivities:

We have 10 amazing seniors we want to celebrate on Monday! We will have a signature board for each senior along with any pictures of them throughout their swim career set up where the bullpen usually is (see notes below regarding new bullpen policy). Please feel free to come by and leave a nice, quick, appropriate message and signature for them! It is Waterton tradition to have a senior swim after the last event where seniors can dress up to swim their last lap with Waterton! We will also read our a short bio for each of them :)

Parking:

There is a very limited amount of parking spots in the parking lot available, so we ask that everyone plans accordingly. Please be mindful of the HOA and our emergency vehicle policy and only park on the side of the street indicated by our parking signs. We recommend arriving early to try to get a good parking spot.

Warm-Up Time:

We are asking everyone to arrive by 5:00 PM for warm-ups. Our league handbook is very clear in regards to allotted warm-up times and we need to be able to get everyone in for warm-ups prior to the other team's time.

Meet Volunteers:

Meet volunteers will be meeting at 5:35 at the meet volunteer coordinator table (round table by the staging area) with Mary Beth Durham to check-in and make sure all shifts are covered. This does not include timers and stroke & turn judges, as you will have a meeting around the same time at the starter's table.

Swimmer's Checklist:

  • Goggles
  • Team shirt
  • Swimsuit
  • towel
  • Team Swim Cap

Sitting Area:

  • Parents and spectators will be seated on the guardhouse side of the pool deck, while the visitors will be sitting on the starter table's side of the pool deck. Space is limited so please be mindful of others. Please bring your own chairs, blankets, and tents to set up while spectating, there will be no furniture or seating provided.
  • New Bullpen Policy: In order to keep the senior boards and decorations intact throughout the night we ask that parents keep their children with them instead of having our normal holding area. The seniors and their supporters will have the pavilion area behind the blocks. All other swimmers please be seated in the spectator area & be listening for our bullpen workers to come to call for you similar to how we did it at the meet on Thursday.
  • Our staging area is behind the dive blocks and it needs to be cleared of everyone except swimmers being staged, swimmers actively swimming, stroke & turn judges, coaches, timers, and head volunteers

Concession Stand:

Our concession stand will again be cash only and include the following items:

  • BBQ Sandwiches $3.50
  • Loaded Baked Potatoe $3.50
  • Hotdogs $2.50
  • Hamburgers $3.00
  • Cheeseburgers $3.50
