Meet 1 Results, Meet 2 RSVP, Picture Day
Waverunners!
Please find the results from last night attached along with the Top 75 results from around the county for each individual event! You can also visit https://www.gwinnettswimleague.com/2023-results for weekly league-wide results!
We had 6 new team records set last night, along with multiple people placing themselves in good standing to make county at the end of season! As a team we won by a good margin, but most importantly our Waverunners had fun and tried their best! We are very grateful to our volunteers, parents, community supporters, and countless others who made last night go smoothy!
Remember Monday we are off this week, see you Tuesday!
Make sure to follow us on Facebook and Instagram for cool graphics throughout the week about upcoming events, results, and general team news!
Meet #2 RSVP
We need everyone to RSVP by Sunday night so we can seed the meet on Monday! If you need help with this please reach out to me and I can guide you through the process, RSVP is done through the SwimTopia app or site. If you are unsure of what your swimmer can swim, please just let us know if they will be there or not! Let’s make sure we fill our volunteer slots as well!
Picture Day
We will have our team picture day on Friday, 06/02 at 9 AM at the pool prior to fun Friday. Individual pictures will be from 9-9:40 with our team picture at 9:45. Please wear your new Waterton t-shirt and a navy swim suit that day! We will then have fun Friday from 10-11 and a freestyle stroke clinic with Coach Zach from 11-12 for anyone interested.
Concession Stand
We had a great day of concessions yesterday, and we are asking for a little help from our Waverunners! If we could get some donations on drinks, we would greatly appreciate it. If the following donation schedule can be followed before our next home meet, that would be great:
- Families with the last name starting with A-O bring Gatorades (no minis please)
- Families with the last name starting with O-Z bring Dr Pepper cans
You can bring these during practice times and leave them near the back door to the shed. Thank you!
Meet Reminders:
- We are all present at swim meets to positively encourage all swimmers. We did a good job of this last night, but I want to keep that spirit going the rest of the season!
- Our meets are ran 100% by volunteers, who are trying their best. As we all get used to our spots lets show some grace and respect to one another :)
- The computer room is an extremely busy place that helps the entire meet run smoothly. During the meet, I would ask we limit traffic to just our computer workers, volunteer coordinator, runners, coaches, and myself. If an issue arises please see me immediately, I am the point of contact that can facilitate any issue. Thank you Waverunners :)
- Let’s make sure to bring our own chairs and tents to the meets, the HOA does have a rule where we cannot use their furniture during swim meets, this also holds true at away meets
