Week 3 Meet Results, Top 75, County Meet RSVP
Waverunners!
We won! We had a lot of time cuts, a couple of team records, and a good showing for Swim Across America! Additionally, we have the Top 75 for individual swimmers and Top relays for our Waverunners at the county level! All results are attached!
How County Works:
After the fifth swim meet, we will take the weekend to review the top 120 swimmers in each event from around the county. Swimmers can swim up to 3 individual events (as long as they have qualified for each of them) and o two relays (relays are built by swimmer’s best times)
The reason we look at the Top 120 swimmers is because swimmers who qualify for more than 3 events will get to choose which events they do, and inevitably some swimmers will be out of town for the county meet. In order to fill the meet, we will put swimmers from the Top 120 that may not have been originally in the Top 50 in the meet, with the hopes that no other swimmer that has a higher ranking bumps them out. The final list for county will be released on July 3rd.
County Meet Schedule:
- Friday, 07/12 afternoon - 15 & Up
- Saturday, 07/13 morning - 9/10
- Saturday, 07/13 afternoon - 13/14
- Sunday, 07/14 morning - 8 & Under
- Sunday, 07/14 afternoon - 11/12
Who Practices for County:
For the first two days, anyone who could POTENTIALLY be at county are welcomed to practice.Coach Jenna will personally communicate with each swimmer personally. After the final list is released, we limit those practices to just the county team.
County RSVP:
Coach likes to start preparing for possible county relays, so we are opening an RSVP for county as a meet. Please simply RSVP so we know who is and isn’t going to be in town/available for County. Even if you are not in the Top 75, we would like to know your availability.
